YOUTH PROGRAMS
The Temple inspires a consistent culture of involvement for youth, from kindergarten to college, that develops a strong, confident, and positive sense of Jewish identity and pride. These vibrant experiences will result in a lifelong sense of belonging and participation with one’s peer group, The Temple, and the larger Jewish community.
The Temple will be known for excellence among youth and the Reform Movement by:
- Offering a mix of social, social action and educational experiences that create a spiritual connection
- Providing a framework that allows youth self-direction and ownership while being safe both physically and emotionally
- Minimizing social and financial barriers to participation
- Planning activities that are relationship vs. programming centric and intense vs. many
- Being relevant and adjusting to changing realities of the social structure and obligations of youth
- Cultivating positive parental support
- Communicating opportunities and expectations
